Relief Inc. is a grassroots organization that works in partnership with local businesses, high school students, college students, and trained individuals who specialize in development work in Liberia, West Africa. The background of our Board Members, and staff is very diverse. Their experience ranges from International entertainment, full-time work experience in international development, and advanced degrees in business, education, development, and leadership.
Phebe was born and raised in Liberia, West Africa. She is the descendant of American slaves and niece of former Liberian President Tolbert.
After political unrest, she moved to the United States where she worked across healthcare, banking, and administration.
Following the devastating effects of Liberia’s civil war and the loss of family members, she was inspired to act.
In 2002, she founded Relief, Inc., providing humanitarian aid and focusing on long-term solutions for communities.
Today, she leads the organization with a vision to empower people and promote self-sufficiency across Liberia.
Ron Fortt is a native New Yorker with over 30 years of experience in retail and automotive leadership.
He graduated from the NADA Dealer Academy and successfully managed multiple franchises.
Toyota selected him to open a dealership in California where he exceeded expectations and ranked nationally.
Ron brings strong business leadership and strategic expertise to Relief, Inc.
Mrs. Stewart-Tamba supports Relief, Inc.’s initiatives in Liberia with strong local leadership.
She ensures programs align with community needs and create meaningful impact.
Her focus is on empowerment, education, and sustainable development.
Joseph oversees program operations in Liberia and ensures effective delivery of initiatives.
