Relief, Inc. was founded by Phebe Dennis-Fortt and her husband Ron as a 501(c)(3) humanitarian organization dedicated to restoring hope and improving lives. Born and raised in Liberia, Phebe experienced the devastating effects of political unrest and civil war firsthand, including the loss of close family members. These experiences inspired her to take action and create an organization focused on helping those in need both in Liberia and around the world.

Through Relief, Inc., Phebe established a network of volunteers, including doctors and local leaders in Liberia, to provide aid and long-term support. The organization’s mission is not only to deliver immediate assistance but also to empower individuals through education, community development, and self-sufficiency.

The Relief, Inc. logo reflects this mission and vision. Each element symbolizes growth, courage, strength, and prosperity—representing the journey from hardship to hope. By supporting communities through agriculture, education, and leadership development, Relief, Inc. works to create lasting change.
